Family Promise of Blount County is currently in development. We hope to launch our network near the end of 2008. The Blount County network is an affiliate of the national Family Promise organization that consists of 10-12 churches that are dedicated to battling family homelessness. As of December 2007 there are 5 churches that have committed to being host churches and many others that are willing to support the network with volunteers or with money. As we progress towards the establishment of our network we will have regular community meetings to discuss where we are in the process and where we should be.
